Account information: When you create a Fanancials account, we collect your email address, full name, and authentication details. If you sign in with Google, Microsoft, Facebook, or Apple, we receive the profile information those providers share with us.

Profile & learning data: Your financial persona, knowledge level, learning style, focus areas, XP, FanCoins, level, streak, badges, and quiz scores are stored to personalize your experience and track your progress.

Self-reported financial data: Financial goals you create (titles, target amounts, milestones, notes) and any financial snapshots you log (income, expenses, net worth, spending categories) are stored on your account. We never ask for bank credentials, account numbers, or access to your real financial accounts.

Chat data: Conversations you have with FANA, our AI mentor — including your prompts, the AI responses, session names, and AI-generated summaries — are stored so you can revisit them.

Guardian & educator data: If you use the Parent/Educator Portal or School Portal, we store the email addresses of linked students, guardian/educator names, classroom details, and resource assignments you create.

When you chat with FANA, your messages and relevant profile context (such as your persona, goals, and progress) are sent to our AI language model to generate a helpful, personalized response.

FANA provides general financial education and guidance only — it is not a licensed financial advisor, and its responses should not be taken as professional financial advice.

Your conversation history is stored on your account so you can review past sessions. You can delete individual chat sessions at any time.

To provide and personalize the Fanancials learning experience, including your dashboard, missions, journey, and AI mentor.

To track your gamification progress (XP, levels, badges, FanCoins, streaks) and surface achievements.

To enable guardians and educators to monitor linked students and assign learning resources — only with the explicit connections you or they create.

To send service-related emails such as password resets, invitations, and important account notifications.

To analyze aggregate, de-identified usage trends to improve our content, tools, and platform.

Your data is stored securely on our platform and isolated per account using row-level access controls — you can only see and manage your own records, and guardians/educators can only see records for students they have explicitly linked.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We do not share your data with advertisers.

Authentication is handled through secure, provider-managed OAuth flows for social sign-in, and encrypted password storage for email sign-in.

We use trusted service providers to operate the platform — including cloud hosting, AI language models, email delivery, and form/onboarding tools (such as Typeform). These providers process data only on our behalf and under contractual obligations to protect it.

We disclose information only when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Fanancials, our users, or the public.

We never share your financial goals or self-reported financial data with third parties for marketing or advertising.

Fanancials is designed for Gen Z learners, including students. When an educator or parent links a student, the student's progress data (level, XP, modules completed, badges) is shared with that guardian — but only after the connection is established.

Guardians and educators create the connection using the student's email address. Students can see who has linked them through their own account.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and operate the app. These are necessary for the platform to function.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

Access & update: You can view and update your profile and preferences anytime from the Profile & Settings page.

Delete: You can delete your chat sessions, financial goals, and account data. To request full account deletion, contact us at support@fanancials.org.

Opt out of guardian links: If a guardian or educator has linked you and you no longer want them to see your progress, contact us to remove the connection.

Data portability: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
